Sites are the physical locations or buildings that an organisation has.
You can add sites using the Add Site button, and edit and delete them from the context menu next to each site.
If your customer has a number of sites, you should name them in a way that is meaningful to them, for example, after the suburb or town in which each site is located. If you customer has a large number of sites (more than ten), you might consider arranging them in a hierarchy.
Facility codes are used only in access control applications. Physical access cards have both a facility code, which identifies which facility (ie: organisation or site) a card belongs to, and a card number, which identifies which person the card belongs to. This means that all cards from the same organisation have the same facility code, but a card from one organisation will not work at another organisation because it has a different facility code.
In NoahFace, you can set the facility code at the organisation level by pressing the edit (pencil) icon in the overview panel on the Sites page. All sites inherit the organisation’s facility code unless you override it at the site level.
You only need to set the facility code if you intend to integrate NoahFace with your access control system, and only if you want your access control system to enforce its access rules.
